Smith & Wesson is well known for their firearms, and they have always been popular with both security personnel and law
enforcement. While their line of handcuffs is less known, that doesn’t mean they’re any different from the rest of S&W’s line – top of the line.
We’ve taken a closer look at their Model 100 handcuffs, and what they have to offer. It’s important to note that these things aren’t really toys, so if you’re looking for some bondage play, you should probably take a look at these instead…
Smith & Wesson has made their handcuffs the old fashioned way, which means there aren’t any bells and whistles here. It’s all steel, double locking cuffs. They might not be pretty, but they’re sure to keep the person you’re cuffing inside them until you decide to let them out. A feature that is well worth noticing, however, is the new double-locking feature, which is activated with your finger instead of having to turn they key around and push a tiny button. It’s going to take some getting used to, but after a few practice runs, you’ll see, just like we did, that this is a definite improvement over the old system.
Some specs:
– All carbon steel
– Heat treated internal lockworks
– Smooth ratches (prevents tampering & speeds up cuffing – it’s true!)
– Finger-operated double-locking feature (a definite plus!)
Using the Handcuffs:
As with all cuffs, you need to get used to them, so make sure you practice on something or someone, or yourself, before you clip them to your belt for active duty. These things close and lock quickly, and you need to be a little careful when you apply pressure to tighten them. If you’re too eager, they may get too tight, and that’s something we want to avoid, right? Right.
The double-locking mechanism will take some getting used to if you’re accustomed to the push-button, but you’ll be glad you switched once you’ve done it a couple of time, we promise! This feature is awesome.
Where to get them:
