Israeli Embassy Oslo under threat

A letter addressed to the Israeli embassy in Oslo had apparently been smeared with a chemical that produced skin and eye reactions in two mail sorters at the mail distribution central in the city.

Police say there are no biological agents, but that there have been no chemical analysis yet. There are a number of chemicals that can produce the reactions that were seen. The letter was written in Norwegian, poststamped in Norway and it contained threats aimed at Israel with references to the war in Gaza. The police think it is “highly likely” that the letter came from somewhere in Norway…well.

The two mail workers have been released from hospital, apparently no lasting damage done.
