Weapons Manufacturers Thrive on Recent Wars

Nammo, Kongsberg and Nammo Talley are well known brands for people familiar with the weapons industry, and their latest numbers show that the industry is booming due to the recent years’ wars in the middle east.

From 2004 to 2010, the two weapons and ammunitions manufacturers have gone from a yearly result of approx $1 billion USD to $2,5 billion dollars, with much of their equipment being used exclusively by US and coalition forces in Iraq and Afghanistan theaters.

In reality, the sales numbers are much larger, however. Kongsberg Group alone has deals with the US Army worth almost $2 billion USD, and american customers are responsible for about 41% of Nammo’s sales.
