“Video Shows TSA Search Of Boy In Wheelchair”, Fox says
And of course, that might very well be so. If you could get through a security checkpoint without being screened just by sitting in a wheelchair, well frankly, we’d all be doing it, wouldn’t we?
“MyFox” has a piece on this video that just about describes their way of living (lies, lies, lies, that is…):
(NewsCore)(Fox News Radio) – A three-year-old child in a wheelchair was subjected to a thorough examination by a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agent at a Chicago airport, according to a video shot by the boy’s father.
The video footage shows the little boy sitting in a wheelchair with a cast on his leg. Dubiel said he was not allowed to touch or come near his son during the search; however, he did videotape most of it.
“My little boy wanted me to come over to hold his hand and give him a hug,” Dubiel wrote in commentary embedded in the video. “He was trembling with fear. Instead, we had to pretend this was ‘ok’ so he didn’t panic.”
[box type=”red”]Comment: The video clearly shows the father sitting near his son, talking to him, helping the TSA officer with the screening. The officer asks the father if he would mind lifing the boy’s shirt a little in the back, and offering a private screening area.[/box]
Dubiel can be heard reassuring his son through the ordeal, which lasted more than three minutes. At one point, the agent swabbed the wheelchair, the child’s cast and his hands, and even made the boy lift up his shirt.
[box type=”red”]This is not true. The father lifts the boy’s shirt. Also, swabbing any wheelchair is very, very standard procedure for any airport, anywhere in the world.[/box]
“I was livid at this point,” his father wrote. “I’m asking myself, ‘Why the [expletive] isn’t someone with a brain coming over to wave him through?’ Someone in a position of authority needs to make the obvious decision this child is not a threat — right? You are swabbing a three-year-old’s hands for explosives? Seriously?”
[box type=”red”]Dubiel can be heard agreeing to everything that the TSA officer says. Also, what he seems not to understand is that it’s not the little boy that’s the subject of the search; it’s him. He’s the one who might have hidden something in the boy’s wheelchair. [/box]
“I watched the video with my 10-year-old and my heart started beating real fast,” he recalled. “I started getting angry — a rash of emotions and then I had to explain to my 10-year-old what was happening and why I allowed it to happen.”
[box type=”red”]…and still, this 10-year old seems to make a cameo appearance in the original video, also coming up to the little boy in the chair. So, why would Dubiel find it necessary to “explain” this?[/box]
Dubiel seems to be confusd about a couple of things. First off, he claims the wrong airport. The TSA has actually gone to some trouble to investigate what happened here, and Dubiel didn’t even know what airport he was in. Further:
Dubiel said he did not file a formal complaint with the TSA.
Which is moronic. If you’re “livid” and “enraged” and your son is “trembling with fear”, then a complaint to the TSA should be up at the top of the agenda, don’t you think?
We feel confident that most people who bother to look through the video, will see that this is nothing but a blatant attempt at getting some attention in the wake of J. Corbett’s viral video and blogposts, and dismiss this “Dubiel” as the “Dubious” character he is.
