Survive: Canadians are Gearing Up for the Zombie Apocalypse
In one extremely lucid moment, the governments of the world have finally decided to take the impending zombie apocalypse seriously, and have issued official advice on how to prepare for, and behave in, just such an event. The government in British Columbia (not the one with the drug cartels, then) have decided that a Zombie Preparedness Week is in order, and have even set up a website to that effect. It’s here.
So, what should you do?
Well, according to the government(s) that have been issuing these warnings and preparedness initiatives, the best thing you can do is prepare. Duh. How? Well, by getting together either a disaster kit, or a BOB (a bug-out-bag, for those not in the know…) and keeping gas in your car… and that’s it, really.
Nope. No mention of getting together an arsenal, so that you might blow the heads off those pesky critters when they start congregating on your porch and the sky-colored roof isn’t helping anymore. So why is this, then? Well, in many countries around the world, and especially in the more peaceful ones, guns are actually hard to come by for most people. The US is an exception, where the right to bear arms is in the constitution, and where a lot, a lot of people take that very literally.
In Canada, things are a bit different. In the UK, Germany, France, Sweden, Norway, Italy, etc, things are also very different. That’s also why you shouldn’t bank on actually getting to a gun, or that you even know someone who owns one.
So, the Canadians are gearing up, and the CDC wants you to do the same. Are you stepping up to the plate?
