“No one cares about these boys” – USAID affiliate
A police officer under arrest in London for abuse of underage boys and being part of a huge pedophilia ring recommends young boys from the streets of Kabul, since no one will miss them or care about them.
The police officer is a Norwegian man who has been affilated with USAID and their work in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Though the USAID has no comment about the case on its website, they have been crucial in the investigation so far as bringing the FBI out from its hole and onto the playing field, so to speak.
Two years ago, in 2006, a Norwegian 15-year old (now 17) busted the ring open by meeting with a person he chatted with online. Upon meeting the person, it was obviously not another 15-year old but the police officer wanting to take him to a hotel room. The boy excused himself, saying he had to get something from a cornershop where he then called the police. The man was picked up in his hotel room.
There are a lot of things to say here about online safety, letting your kids chat unsupervised and allowing them to meet people they talk to online, but we’ll let that go for now. The 15-year old’s efforts (and luck in peril) led to a major breakthrough in exposing international pedophile networks.
The Norwegian police officer is under arrest in Norway. A Pakistani aid worker is under arrest in London.
A 35 year old Pakistani aid worker living in London has been arresten by the British police. A 42 year old Norwegian who used to be a police officer has been arrested in Norway. They are both believed to be part of a pedophilia network.
The ex police man who one day chatted with a 15 year old boy over the Internet, made an agreement with him to meet in person. The boy showed up and met this old dude who invited him to a hotel nearby. Staying cool, the boy managed to lure him into believing he needed something in the nearby kiosk, and went calling the police. They arrested the man in the hotel room.
They confiscated his PC, but since no actual offense had taken place, they let him go. Later, when going through his computer they encountered material that appeared to be home-made. Chat logs connected him with the Pakistani USAID worker.
During their chats, the USAID worker bragged on how easy it was to get young boys in Kabul. No one cares for them, so there’s no danger if they disappear or dies.
Because this man was a USAID worker, the FBI got involved. In turn, this lead to two arrests in California and the confiscation of large quantities of child pornography.
However, the USAID worker relocated to London before the FBI could take him, and so the British police got involved. They arrested the man and confiscated large amounts of child pornography.
Norwegian investigators are going to Romania to continue the investigation there, as the ex police officer is believed to have misused young boys in Brazil and Romania, as well as Norway.
Connections have been made to Italy as well, as the ex police officer have chatted and met up with an Italian (though what these connections are is unclear in the article).
Uh, yeah, what Co Co up there said. Thanks for the clarification, Co.
