The solar observatory that was mysteriously closed by the FBI on September 6, AURA at Sacramento Peak in New Mexico, with full evacuation of the site, has been said to have been due to a security threat, and that the lack of communication about the reasoning behind the closure has been blamed on a need to not alert the “suspect” that created the security risk to what was going on. In a stunning lack of basic understanding of secrecy vs. security and the effects of ones own actions, the FBI and local law enforcement seem to think that it makes sense that the massive media coverage of the closure would be less of a warning to someone posing a threat, than actual information about what might be going on.
With this in mind, it seems unlikely that there was any kind of “suspect” that could be warned off or hindered in any way through any kind of closure or evacuation, and that the reasoning behind the closure of the sun spot observatory is something akin to the always infamous “cover-ups” that the US government is famed for carrying out in some way or another. Without being bogged too deeply down in conspiracy theories, it’s not very likely that someone would think widespread reporting and media attention on some secret operation to close down a facility and “capture” a “suspect” would be an effective course of action.
With this in mind, it’s easy to think that the close and evacuation of the popular but somewhat remote facility has less to do with a threat to the facility or its staff, and more to do with the fact that it is located in the vicinity of Roswell, New Mexico, which houses some infamous US military and intelligence structures, and a long history of secrecy and rather unsavory methods of intimidation and tactics.
