Media pummelled after pro-Gaza “debate”

Norwegian government-owned TV-channel NRK was swamped by angry callers after a very pro-Gaza “debate” on Thursday. The “debate” was themed around which side of the hostilities “won” the war of information that occurs in every battle and small war around the globe.

The “debate”, as it were, featured media experts and reporters as well as a doctor who has been profiled for spending time in Gaza during the war and a representative of the Mosaic community.

The results of the TV debate were anything but productive, as the only representative that was even mildly pro-Israel was overpowered by claims and outrageous statements by the others. Viewers reportedly jammed the NRK switchboard and demanded that the channel make amends for having a slanted view of the conflict and trying to further pro-Gaza propaganda.

NRK stills says its guestlist proves that the debate was a balanced one, which any observant reader (or viewer) will know to be untrue.
