.. for us security people, at least.
– Riots and violence in Albuquerque after yet another police shooting.
In their infinite wisdom, police use excessive force to battle demonstrators who’re rightfully upset about the well known and long investigated use of excessive force by the Albu police… Predictably, the demos go awry when the cops show up in riot gear and firing off teargas. Who would have thought it. The local police force is long overdue for a massive turnover rate.
See the shooting (murder?) of a homeless man that sparked the protests over @ SkyNews, along with a statement from what’s apparently the least eloquent mayor in the history of time, Richard Berry, who sports such gems in this matter as “We respected their rights to protest obviously, but what it appears we have at this time is individuals who weren’t connected necessarily with the original protest.” Great.
– Senator demands 1 WTC security upgrade after basejumping and shenanigans.
After one kid climbs to the very top and three others jump right off the thing (to a safe landing, mind you), the sentaor is quoted as saying;
“What’s going on here?” Which is surprisingly apt, especially when compared to the mayor of Albuquerque.
Then again… : “The New York Democrat wants the Department of Homeland Security to monitor the performance and training of trade center security guards, in addition to testing surveillance equipment and checking the perimeter for possible illegal entry points.”
Which is probably one of the worst ideas ever.
– Drunk MSG (Marine Security Guard) flashes badge and blabs about Obama security
In the Netherlands, of all places. The jarhead had been given temporary assignment to the president’s visit to, wait for it, an international security summit. Great.
“He said something happens, a bullet comes, he has to jump in between,” Vasco Miguel Dos Santos, a local who was at the bar that night and took pictures with Pritchett, told The Post. “I watch American movies, I know how they are,” he said.
“American people are always showing off.”
Good job representing security and the american people and president, jarhead. MSGs are generally security minded, sober and accurate soldiers, so the person who selected this one for a presidential mission should take a long, hard look at themselves as well. Which is bound to happen… never.
