50 cent – a pizzamaker’s nightmare? Or just black people?
All right… just a short note to those of you interested in pizza. Or rap-stars. Or both.
Media reports that rapper 50 cent was asked to leave a Dolly Dimple’s Pizza place in Norway last week, after a show at a local music festival. Granted, the place was about to close, but that was not the reason the rapper and his “posse” was told to leave. Why then? Well, the pimply little pizzamaker working the late shift thought the gang of big black guys were going to rob him.
Okay then. Apparently he didn’t know it was 50 cent standing in the doorway…so that means that every time he sees a black guy that isn’t a rap star – or other kind of celebrity – he’s afraid of being robbed? Heh. We’re not going to say the R-word, but yeah, we’re thinking it too.
Anyway, check it out. If it weren’t for the entertainment value, stupid people would have been exterminated long ago. (Though he might have an idea about the sensibility of moderated paranoia, the concept does, unfortunately require some measure of wit, logic and a minimum of IQ to put into action.)
This was a stupid comment. Its not always rasism as long as something bad happens whit black people. A gang of big hvite people whit hoods and attitude comming inn afther closinghours would be just as scary. Think twice before you raise the rasismissue.
well now, the owner DID say that 6-10 people wearing hoodies came strolling in at closing time.. THATS when he thought he was gonna get robbed…
Just saying
WTF is wrong with you people? 50 Cent looks like a true gangster, and you’re suprised that he (the pizza proprietor) got scared? Not to mention his ‘posse’ comes busting in. And I’m damn sure they weren’t exactly quiet either.
So can you blame the guy for being concerned? And just because he asks them to leave, guess what? It’s his right. If he’s worried they’d start a ruckus, it’s his right to ask him/them to leave.
Doesn’t make them racist, no more racist then blacks killing whites because they’re on the ‘wrong side of de hood’…
I think you have twisted this story to make it look like a race issue when it in fact is not. If you had known the pizzaguys statement after the incident I think your view would have been different.
All right, all right. You guys have good points. We don’t want to waive the racism flag when there’s no need for it, that’s for sure.
If we’ve misunderstood the Norwegian article, and the feelings of the pizzaman, then by all means, we’re sorry. We’ve tried to comment the event, and the feeling it conveyed to us, but we are by no means infallible in these matters.
Well the topic starter put just half of the story. You know.. there ARE opthers that can read Norwegian too.
The pizza restaurant were just closing, and the pizza-ovens were already shut off. Meaning they were cold and would need 15 minutes just to get warm (as we use electrisity).
50 cent & crew were said to be really nice and they were adviced to another open restaurant. I guess the whole robbing thought were just going on for a second, but media blew this up in a big way.
I’m more dissapointed in the topic starter for trying to start a story like this!
Skjerp deg!
Whoa… Copy that, Lein. Like I said in the last comment reply, the post conveys what we thought the article was saying.
When we see it now, it has been updated (among other things with the name of the pizza-guy and other info), and it could be that we got the wrong idea from it all. However, the first issuance of the article did rather say that the guy got scared because they were big and black.
Also, we think it’s pretty ignorant to not recongize 50 Cent and G-Unit. That’s a personal opinion, though, but we allow that for ourselves here, just as we include the negative comments we get on our postings.
That said, we hope the readers take a look at the rest of our site too…this isn’t your run-of-the-mill news comments blog, you know. 😉
Good words.
