When Sharia ruled the West…

This is what happened.

A 200 year old skeleton was uncovered some days ago, when construction was started on a new bicycle path in the small town of Flisa in Norway.

Anna Oestmo

The skeleton was first thought to be of a newer date, but it was proven by the national forensic institute that the skeleton was what remains of a young woman, executed 200 years ago for “giving birth in secret, leading to the death of the child”. The LE of the day were unable to prove murder, and so they reverted to a by then already old paragraph.

In theory, the girl could have gotten the death sentence anyway, because the child was born out of wedlock, but that was usually avoided by the girl saying she was seduced. This time, however, the girl was not so fortunate.

The laws of the land in the West 200 years ago were very similar to the Sharia laws that govern some middle eastern countries today. Incidentally, that also indicates the difference in development between the two regions of the world… While the execution of women for having relations with men outside wedlock were abandoned centuries ago in the west, they still continue to be valid in som muslim / islamist countries.

On a more specific note, Anna Oestmo, the executed woman from the bicycle path, was a slight girl, about 165 cm tall (about 5’4″) and 29 years old at the tie of death.
