War, uh…. etc. Guns and Bombs, Ladies and Gentlemen

A little bit of news this sunny morning;

Norway’s forces in Afghanistan are lacking essentials in IED detection and removal. An investigation into the state of equipment is afoot after several Norwegian soldiers were killed by a bomb.

The country has seen its share of islamist terror-drama the last couple of weeks, since a terror plot set to place bombs there was uncovered . The operation by Norwegian secret police (PST) is said to be linked to operations in Manchester, by GB police, and to police operations and arrests in NYC.

A notable point about this terror plot is that the implicated persons come from a variety of different backgrounds, which makes this out of step with traditional patterns in terror cells.
As a sidenote we might mention that the family of one terrorist is “shocked by the brutal arrest”, and are now scared to go back to Norway. Yes… well. Who cares about that, really?

Times has found 20 reasons to hate airlines. Those hell bent on flying this summer should take a look at our airport security guides. We guarantee better tips than those the TSA lets you read.

– Google Streetview is under fire again. We’ve written about it here, and then there’s ABC7 in LA. It’s all very nice and moronic.

The TSA is probably not going to make it – again. That’s what the Government Accountability Office says, at least.

  1. Christianity says “turn the other cheek”. That may be the reason for our humanitarian way of treating potential terrorists. The wife of one of the suspects said her husband must be innocent because he can’t stand seeing blood! Well, many of the leaders of terrorism sit in front of their computers and let others spill their blood for the sake of Allah. Or so they think. In my opinion there is no God that would ask you to blow people up that God “himself” has created. Believing in that, is one of the biggest blunders of mankind, next to nazism.

  2. “Blunder” is one way of putting it – I agree wholeheartedly at least.
    Thanks for your comment, Pernille.
