Profiling trouble for Scandinavian ferry-company

Internal profiling rules have made trouble for a Scandinavian ferry-company, after their security officers refused access to a colored man. The reason given was that he had no luggage – i.e. that he had no toiletries, no hygiene products, no change of clothes – on the 24-hour round trip to Denmark.

Now, this is not, as the man (and the article) claims, a racial issue. It is statistically proven that the most trouble and violence aboard this type of ship is caused by white males, single, aged 18 – 35. The security officers know this.

For us here at SnallaBolaget, this article and subsequent discussion show only one thing – that the people in general has a very narrow understanding of security principles. Which actually, for us, is a good thing. It means we’re needed, in order to shine a light and be a beacon for those poor innocent souls. Sort of. Wink wink, nudge nudge.
